Stevo Atambire – Teach Me
Stevo Atambire is a Frafra neo-griot and kologo master. The kologo is a two-stringed luth, often considered an ancestor of the banjo. Stevo has released four studio albums, multiple music videos and is a well-established household name in Northern Ghana.
Stevo has also toured most of Europe and parts of Africa as a member of Wanlov & the Afro-Gypsy Band, as well as with Art Melody as the Ghanaian burkinabè duo Mabiisi.
Teach Me, produced by Wanlov the Kubolor will be Stevo’s first album to transcend the unchanged popular Frafra synth music style, by being both authentically traditional as well as contemporary, featuring top international acts like Gyedu-Blay Ambolley & Villy.
Teach Me stems from the unique African collaboration between Wanlov from the Atlantic Ocean and Percy Yip Tong from the Indian Ocean. Stevo Atambire’s album is funded by Cyper Produktion through its record label Kool Kreol from Mauritius with artistic creativity and technical know-how from Ghana.
