Fast rising Ghanaian afro soul artist Asi releases her third EP Sekbi Legacy, after the successful release of her two previous EPs Piece of Me in 2018 and Chapter V last fall.
With major airplay across the country and performances with some of the most talented artists in Accra, Asi has been described as a phenomenal artiste with powerful vocals. She’s been recently featured in the tunesXmuse Class of 2021: buzzing artists to look out for by Muse Africa. Renowned media personality Antoine Mensah called her “one to look out for, Asi is tipped for greatness”.
Sekbi Legacy is a collaboration between Asi and lifestyle and fashion brand Sekbi Bogolan. One Chance, the first single off the EP, was released last year gaining buzz in Accra airplays. Asi explains that “all the songs were inspired by what Sekbi Bogolan stands for: a new way of approaching the African narrative that evolves between heritage and modernity, and lastly, celebrating diversity. In simple words, the Sekbi spirit and mine were aligned.”
